What an eventful few weeks we have just seen, the shock waves are still battering the UK. The property industry is fully exposed to economic “events” and that is exactly what we are currently having to absorb. After a positive start to 2026 we now have a hiatus whilst the buying public assess the impact of the Middle East crisis. How long this war rumbles will dictate the level of buying confidence we’ll see over the coming months.
The market fundamentals remain positive – people need to move and life continues despite world events. Market pressure has been building over the last 12 months, and our view is that buyers want to get on with their lives, they will not/can’t wait indefinitely. The important selling criteria is to price appropriately for the prevailing market. With the right price, people will make the move and houses will sell.
