Tom started his working life in farming, having attended the RAC Cirencester (now RAU). He then retrained at Seale Hayne to move into property management and agency, working for a large regional property consultancy (estate and farm management), and then a rural agency business. Some 20 years ago he set up his own agency business and Grant and Co was formed. With a dedicated and experienced team, Grant & Co are an established and recognised rural estate agency, based in smart new offices on Ledbury High Street.
Tom leads the company and provides professional sales advice and a consultancy service whilst valuing and selling a wide range of country properties. When not working, Tom enjoys an active family life, helping tame a country garden and is a keen runner - often with a Labrador for company.
Originally from a farming background in North Devon, Richard went on to gain his degree in Agriculture from Seale Hayne and briefly worked in agriculture before changing careers into estate agency in early 2001. Having spent years in North Devon agencies, a brief stint in North London selling houses made him realise that city life wasn't for him and he found his way to Grant & Co in 2007 where he’s been ever since.
Happily settled in Herefordshire, Richard brings nearly 25 years of agency experience with him and a wealth of knowledge in the valuation and sale of everything from small bits of land and period cottages, to small holdings, farms and large country houses and estates. In his spare time, a newfound love of trail riding on his motorbike fills any gaps between work!
Jenny has an extensive sales background and has joined to focus on the sales side of the business.
She has spent the last few years being a full time Mum and has many other interests outside of work including walks in the countryside with her labrador.
Dee has spent most of her career in administration and managerial roles.
She has been with Grant and Co some 14 years and deals with internal administration.
Having moved to Ledbury in 2000, she has a wide knowledge of the town & surrounding areas.
When not working, Dee can be found spending time with her family, friends & assorted canines. She & her husband enjoy extensive travel.
Beanie's love of anything furred or feathered means she is of no use at valuations or viewings but she is always on hand if needed. When not running aimlessly in search of “something” she likes to relax on the dog bed in the office to keep an eye out for potential vendors and generous buyers! Everyone calling in to see us on a Beanie day will be greeted with an exceptionally waggy tail and probably a tennis ball.
Helena joined Grant & Co in September 2024 following a career in the Wine Trade, several years as a School Secretary and a brief time working in Events. She looks after the smooth running of the office and everyone who works there plus those that visit. She has been involved with Grant & Co since it started via her husband Tom.
Sable took over the reins as Grant & Co’s viewing & valuation assistant from her great aunt Treacle in September 2024. She currently works up to 2 days a week. Enthusiastic about sniffing new properties and meeting new friends, her hobbies include swimming and tennis (balls). Also fond of cats and woodburners.
