There are plenty of reasons to be positive about property prospects ahead of us, headline points being;

• An underlying volume of buyers who want or need to move home
• Many frustrated buyers still waiting to find their next home
• Reduced new stock to market means less competition if you are intending to sell
• Mortgage rates are falling and reflect anticipated improved economic prospects
• Interest rates, energy and fuel costs have all reduced which makes life more affordable for us all
• The rental alternative to buying is becoming prohibitively expensive, assuming you can actually find somewhere
