There are doctor’s surgeries and pharmacies in both towns, both surgeries serve HAH. There is a cottage hospital in Ledbury with a main A&E hospital in Gloucester. A regular bus service runs from Dymock to Ledbury and Gloucester (which has a main station); Ledbury-based taxi service(s) available. Ledbury provides a variety of additional facilities, including three supermarkets a selection of good pubs, coffee shops, restaurants and a local Theatre.

Many fine walks are available within the locality and in the popular Forest of Dean and Wye Valley, both within easy driving distance. There are a variety of social clubs close by in Ledbury and Newent, as well as a well-known golf course at Dymock.
