The Crux Barn
SituationMoreton Jeffries is situated roughly mid point between Bromyard, Hereford and Ledbury. This small hamlet is set well off the main road and is accessed via a no through lane. This secluded rural area is surrounded by farmland and has good communication links, it is also well served by the provincial towns and cities.
OutsideThe Crux Barn is approached through double electric gates to a gravel stone drive that runs to a generous parking area at the front of the property. Stoke Lacy has a church and the well-known Wye Valley Brewery with pub, Bishops Frome has two pubs and the Hop Pocket rural craft/shopping centre. RecreationalThere are many fine walks along the Frome Valley, Bromyard Downs and through the Brockhampton Estate (National Trust), with the Malvern Hills only a short distance away. Racing is available at Hereford, Worcester and Cheltenham.
DirectionsFrom Bromyard: Head towards Hereford on the A465 for 3¾ miles until reaching Stoke Lacy, pass through the village and continue a further 1¾ miles - look out for the 2nd right turning signed to Morton Jeffries. Turn right into this lane, continue 1/3rd of a mile and the property will be found on your left side, see the For Sale board.From Ledbury: Head west on the A438 towards Hereford. At the Trumpet X road/lights, turn right on to the A417. Head north for 6½ miles to Burley Gate roundabout, crossing over Newtown traffic lights. At Burley Gate, take the 3rd exit right towards Bromyard on the A465. Continue for 1.1 miles, passing through the village, look out for the 1st left turning to Moreton Jeffries after the village. Turn left and continue as above.
